Full Description
NN26SW 17 2245 6061
The remains of a stone and concrete pier, a possible charcoal burning platform and two small cairns (NMRS MS 738/31, no.63), on the steep lower, S-facing slopes of Meall na Duibhe, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey by AOC (Scotland Ltd).
The stone and concrete pier measures 27m by 4m and appears to have supported a pipeline which was carried down a particularly steep slope.
In the same immediate area, there are two small cairns and a platform, measuring 9m by 8m, which has a drystone revetment along its front edge.
