Full Description
NN26SW 19.01 from 2142 6064 to 2168 6064
There is a group of five possible charcoal burning platforms (NMRS MS 738/31, no.64 a-e) spread out above the River Leven, to the W of Allt na Duibhe.
Platform a: NN 2142 6064, measures 11.5m by 10.5m and has a drystone wall, standing up to 0.5m - or five courses - in height, around the front.
Platform b: NN 2152 6062, measures 12.25m by 10.5m. It is situated 100m to the E of platform a.
Platform c: NN 2158 6060, measures 12m from E to W by 11m and lies about 80m to the E of platform b.
Platform d: NN 2161 6064, measures 11m by 12m and lies 100m to the E of platform b.
Platform e: NN 2168 6058, measures 12m from E to W by 11m.
