NH20SE 15 2882 0354
A subrectangular building and two adjacent enclosures or pens, lying within a birch woodland of Coille Torr a' Chait, were recorded during a forestry survey by Headland Archaeology (NMRS MS 899/64, no.2). The building is represented by a subrectangular hollow with rounded corners, measuring roughly 6.1m by 3m and 0.5m deep. There is a turf and bracken-covered stone wall, 5.7m long, 1m wide and 0.8m high at the SW end of the hollow and collapsed stone is present underfoot within the building.
The two square enclosures, or pens, measuring about 3m by 3m internally, lie immediately S and W of the building. Again, they survive as hollows up to 0.5m deep with traces of turf banks on their E and S sides.
