Full Description

NC60NE 2.14 6897 0548

This hut-circle stands adjacent to the E corner of a stone-built sheepfold, at the rear of a broad terrace. It has been terraced up on the S, by as much as 1.3m, and scarped into sloping ground on the N. The hut measures 16.7m in diameter within a wall up to 0.5m high and 1.9m thick, faced inside and out with edge set stones, some of which survive. The entrance was probably in the SE arc, and there are dumps of field clearance in the interior.
