Full Description

NG20SE 51 2659 0460, 2661 0460 and 2663 0459

At the edge of the croftland due W of the schoolhouse, there are two small huts and an enclosure, all of which abut the N side of an old field-wall that is now reduced in places to a grass-grown stony bank.
Both huts (NG 2659 0460 and NG 2661 0460) are defined by little more than a setting of boulders, one being circular on plan and measuring 2m in internal diameter, the other rectangular and measuring 2m from NNE to SSW by 1.4m transversely internally.
The enclosure (NG 2663 0459), which lies at the SE end of the bank, is defined by a stony bank on three sides and by a natural scarp on the E; it measures 18.6m from N to S by 10m internally.
(Canna 533, 691-2).
Visited by RCAHMS (ARG), 8 March 1996.
