Full Description
Fort (Site), Balmachree: Air photographs have revealed the crop-marks of a D-shaped fort measuring about 50m by 45m in arable ground 500m NE of Balmachree farmhouse. The chord is formed by a ravine and elsewhere the fort is defended by two ditches.
RCAHMS 1979; Visible on RCAHMS air photographs IN 2650-1: flown 1976 and IN 3095-7: flown 1977.
