Full Description

A circular patch of heather, c. 2.50m in diameter, surrounded by impenetrable juniper scrub. There is no evidence of stone or other structural material, but the immediate micro-environment of clover, violets and bindweed sets it apart from the surrounding area. The approx. location corresponds to a limekiln marked on the 1858 and 1863 OS maps.
C. 50m to the east within the same extensive, dense patch of juniper are a line of trees running N/S - 2 rowans, a birch and an elder.
