Full Description

A drain was noted during a 1995 DBA by J Wood in advance of a woodland creation scheme. In Ryvoan, there was an 18th or 19th century drain according to the 1858 Seafield map. <1>

A drain was noted during a 2007 DBA and walkover survey by C Dagg in advance of a woodland creation scheme. It was shown as a straight section of drain running south from the small, unnamed lochan to the northeast of Lochan a’Chait. It was uncertain whether this represented an attempt to incorporate this body of water into the water management system associated with logging. <2>
