Full Description
Chipped pebble tool - Axehead-shaped thin beach pebble retouched at both points. Stray find within sand dunes on Embo beach.
Length : 152mm "Blade" width : 52mm.
Found c. 1980. <1>
Details from the Inverness Museum archive files reported that while the pebble showed sign of being used, it was not a identifiable tool. Due to this ambiguity, it was not claimed by Treasure Trove but it was recommended that it should be acquired by a museum. It is listed under Acc. No. 1996.011 in the IMAG catalogue. <2>
