Full Description
A hoard of 16 hammered silver coins and fragments of lead. All coins from Heavy Coinage of Robert III (issued c. 1390-1403). All of them have evidence of wear on raised surfaces.
They were found with metal detectors in unploughed field. Hoard removed with spades. Majority of coins found in tight group.
Found 25/08/96.
