Full Description

'A very curious Roman sword, and head of a spear, were dug up near Ardersier, about twenty or twenty five years ago.'
W Roy 1793.

No further information on this alleged Roman sword and spear head could be found.
Visited by OS (R D) 16 August 1964.

Given the age of the reference, these finds could also be, and are more likely to be Bronze Age in date.
