Full Description

Three shielings were recorded.

Orbost Estate Survey (1998), M Wildgoose. Site No. 44.
To the north east side of a small burn which runs down the steeply sloping south east flank of Healabhal Beag, 60.0m above the upper edge of the conifer plantation. A tight group of three turf shielings consisting of a twin celled figure of eight structure aligned north west to south east, which measures 5.5m by 3.3 m overall. A three celled structure consisting of a main cell measuring 4.0m in diameter which has a 1.5m cell attached to it's west and north west sides. A single cell which measures 4.0m by 2.5m overall. It was not possible to measure wall widths, and no entrances survive.
