Full Description
"About half-a-mile beyond the Tower of Culloden (NH74SW) on the road to Nairnside is a low stone-way or zig-zag dyke, running with breaks for a distance of about eight or ten miles, from Croy to Duntelchaig. The general opinion is that the dykes had been built and used for hunting-purposes. The walls seldom extend over half-a-mile in length in any one place and are placed at irregular intervals."
ISSFC 1893.
These dykes were not found during field perambulation. It would appear that most of the site is occupied by Culloden Forest.
Visited by OS (W D J) 26 April 1962.
