Full Description

Centred at NH 701 411 in cleared woodland is a settlement of six circular stone-walled huts (A - F) and contemporary cultivation.
The huts have been mutliated by afforestation, and their walls are now spread to between 2.0m and 3.0m all round, with no trace of facing or portal stones. The entrance can only be seen in hut 'A'. All hut diameters are given between wall centres.
Hut 'A', on rise, measures 10.5m in diameter. A gap, c. 3.0m wide, in the SE arc marks the mutilated entrance.
'B' is 12.5m in diameter.
'C' is c. 9.5m in diameter.
'D' is c. 10.0m diameter. Its E arc is destroyed.
'E' is c. 9.5m in diameter.
'F' is c. 9.0m in diameter.
The signs of cultivation comprise occasional stone clearance heaps and lynchets, but afforestation has destroyed all distinct traces of cultivation plots.
Divorced surveys at 1:10,000 of huts 'E' and 'F'.
Visited by OS (N K B) 3 April 1970.

Huts 'A' - 'D' surveyed at 1:2500.
Visited by OS (A A) 13 December 1971.
