Full Description
This possible dun is situated on a terrace above the loch and is visible above as an area of bracken. Closer inspection revealed an almost circular ring of sandstone blocks (some set vertically) and peaty soil. The outer face of the circle was measured as 13.3m N-S, and 11.8m E-W. The southern segment of the circle was banked for about 1-0.5ms to give the site a level platform. The northern segmnet was banked about 0.25m above the surface. On the eastern side a concentation of small sub-angular stones broke the circle providing a possible entrance. The entire site was covered with bracken and heather.
