Full Description

GR corrected to above from OS - HAW 3/2004

This is a good example of a parlimentary Bridge built about 1814 to a design by Thomas Telford and still capable of carrying 36 tonnes lorries. The double curvature of the sides is virtually unique. The quarries from which the stone was taken can be seen in the plantation a few yards upstream.
