Full Description

The beach has been cleared to allow a small coastal vessel to come in on the flood tide and remain in an upright position on the ebb so that it could be loaded and floated off again on the next high tide. This is the best of the small ports in the area and was used for exporting bark, charcoal and birch brooms.
Information from Forest Enterprise, Lochaber.
