Full Description

NB Pins reported from a variety of sites in the area, including during the stream alteration in 1751 when a settlement was revealed. Pins are also specifically mentioned from the Norse cemetery area, plus a mould for making them - HAW 2/2003

A collection of hand-made pins were found on the beach at Reay, the exact location is not known. The finds were reported to the Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 1899 by Arthur Mitchell.
