Full Description

GR amended from NC 294 232 to NC 31431 20039.

Much of the remains are still covered in snow. A gun turret was removed from the site to restore a similar anson at the RAF museum at Duxford. The six man crew are all buried at the site and a commemorative cairn marks the location.

An Anson aircraft flew into a mountain on April 13th, 1941. Serial N9857. Sqd. 19 O.T.U.
