Full Description

A stone built fireplace with chimney and hearth is located to W of A932 and E of Glen Docherty Burn. Between A932 and stone chimney structure is an old road?. These structures may be connected with the construction of a road or trackway in area and they may have served as temporary camps for road workers, who may have covered the fireplace with a sheet or tarpaulin, to make a type of tent (bender) as the travelling tinkers used to call them.
