Full Description

A small sub-oval enclosure is visible at this location, that lies to the north-west of a series of oval hill-fields (see NG45SW 0040). The enclosure survives as a low, heather-covered, degraded bank of turf and stone. The higher level ground of the western area within the enclosure, appears a likely candidate for the stance of a former structure. Vestigial traces of a hollow way can be seen approaching the site from the west and skirting round the enclosure, before heading uphill to the north-east.

The area is to be surveyed as part of an application for a Woodland Granrt Scheme. Information supplied by KC - site visit Oct 02.
