Borrow Pit.
Centre of a level, 20m diameter, grass-covered borrow pit (see Plate 13) with a 1-2m high backwall, accessed from the E side of the existing access track, and cut at a higher level into the same moraine as the borrow pit of Feature 053 (above). The fill has probably been used in the construction of the existing track. Some railway sleepers and old building material, including an old fireplace surround, have been dumped at the N interior. <1>
