Full Description

Hilltrack (disused).
Old hill-track, 4m wide, cut 0.2m deep into its uphill, E side, on a moderate, SW-sloping, heather and grass-covered hillside. It trends 190 degrees from here down and across the slope and continues uphill towards 010 degrees. This feature could be the one marked on the 1st Edition OS map as an access track leading to the grouse butts of Features 088 to 096 (below), although it is 50m away from its map location. Alternatively, however, it may have been formed in the 1950s, during the construction the adjacent electricity pylon line 25m uphill, with which it is parallel. <1>
