Full Description

Peat Cuttings.
SE corner of area of self-contained old peat cuttings, cut into short heather and grass-covered, 60 W-sloping, flat moorland hillside. From here, the E, uphill edge of the cuttings trend 0020 for 17m, to meet the N edge which trends downhill for 21m, before taking a northerly, 12m right-angled step and then continues downhill for a further 25m, cutting S again for 4m and turning W for 9m. From here, it trends S along the downhill, W edge to the SW corner, from where it trends uphill 0910 for 34m, stepping at right-angles to the S for 12m, to continue uphill to the original SE corner. <1>
