Full Description

Platform.
Small, stone-lined, recessed platform, dug into grassy S-dipping slope, 3m x 1.5m, 0.6m deep at its rear, upper (N) end, with a level, grass-covered platform interior and an open (S) end (see Plate 24). Its sidewalls trend 017 degrees. Its use is unclear, but it is reminiscent of a roadside milk churn stand, occasionally found in other areas of the countryside. This structure’s open end faces towards the existing access track, and is 10m to its N, and it is associated with the nearby derelict house of Feature 165 (above) of Breac-achadh, 20m to its NW. <1>
