Full Description
Hut Oval.
30m below, and to the E of the existing access track, a hut ‘oval’ is set on a small, level shoulder of the E-dipping valley-side slope (see Plate 25). The long axis, trending 017 degrees, is contour parallel and measures 11m internally. The perpendicular, shorter axis is 7m across internally. The grass bank walls are 1-1.5m thick and stand to 0.7m externally, but the raised interior floor means that the walls are only 0.3m high on the inside. Possible entrances exist at each end of the long axis, in the N and S. <1>
