Full Description

Enclosure (angular).
SW corner of rectangular enclosure, set to 5m to the S of the later circular sheepfold of Feature 182 (below). It is 13m x 11m, with its long sidewalls trending 010 degrees. Its walls of cobbles, covered in moss, heather and bracken, are now spread to 1m wide and stand to a maximum height of 0.7m, and the N wall is barely visible. It is probable that stone from this enclosure, especially the closest N wall, was incorporated into the adjacent circular sheepfold.

The enclosure is set on the SW side of a broad, thick bracken-covered, grassy and mossy knoll, enclosing its summit, and is bounded by an E-flowing tributary of Allt Smeòrail to its S and the steeply incised Allt Smeòrail valley-side to the E. <1>
