Full Description
One of three architecturally similar cottages on the Gruinard estate. Described by Beaton as ‘The early 20th century estate cottages with rounded dormer gables echo the style of Sir Robert Lorimer’s Colinton cottages in Edinburgh’ Mrs Maclay of Gruinard House (pers comm) records them as originally thatched,and slated by her grandfather when he bought the estate at the beginning of the 20th century.
