Full Description
Grouse Butt.
This well-preserved, U-shaped grouse butt measures 2.5m across with 3m long sidewalls and an entrance opening to 131 degrees. The peat walls are 1m high at the interior leading edge (0.6m high externally) and are 0.6m thick, and the butt is set on the W side of a small burn in the upper reaches of Allt Ghimmer in a broad open valley. <1>
