Full Description
Grouse Butt.
This grouse butt has been eroded by the elements and deer to such an extent that it barely resembles its original shape. It is set on the N edge of a peat pool where deer congregate, on more open moorland than the others in this row, and the 2m long, 070 degrees-trending broad arc of peat wall (?sidewall) which survives is only 0.4m high and 0.7m thick. <1>
