A field-system, overlooking the Loch Shieldaig to the SW, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey by J Wordsworth in 1997, building on a survey by R Wentworth in 1989. It is possibly associated with the remains of a township (NG87SW 24.02) lying immediately to the N outwith the head-dyke. On the SE, the field-system is contiguous with the field-system associated with a township (NG87SW .01) to the E. A number of enclosures and clearance cairns lie within the head-dyke.
Most of the features are not depicted on either the 1st edition or the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch maps (Ross-shire, 1867, sheets lvi and lvii; Ross and Cromartyshire 1906, sheet lvi)
