Full Description

The 1st edition Ordnance Survey map depicts a rectilinear church with associated manse here - annotated as 'Free Church'. The 2nd edition OS shows the church has been extended at the front and is annotated as 'U. F. Church' . Current OS mapping shows a further extension (a caretakers cottage) to the south-east of the church.

A planning application (BS-023-038) to convert the redundant church into six apartments required the provision of a detailed Photographic Record. A series of photographs was taken of the structure, windows and the general area prior to the start of the development. The photographs were taken by Peter Braun and these, together with a short report, are held in the Assoc. Docs file.
