Full Description

Centred at NH 5389 3771, on a gentle easterly facing slope, is a settlement of three hut circles (A to C) and the remains of a field system.(Visible on RAF air Photographs CPE /Scot/UK 296: 4110-11)
The huts are defined by stone walls spread to about 2.5m and splaying to about 3.3m at the clubbed entrances.
'A' is set into the slope and measures between wall centres 10.5m NE-SW by 9.0m transversely. The entrance is in the NE. The footings of a modern wall cross the hut.
'B' is circular and measures 9.5m in diameter between wall centres, with a simple entrance in the E.
'C' is poorly defined but measures 8.0m E-W by 7.0m transversely between wall centres, with an entrance in the E.
In the immediate vicinity of the huts are five or six clearance heaps and traces of field walls probably from contemporary cultivation plots. The area is surrounded by modern cultivation.
