The first edition Ordnance Survey map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1882, sheet lvii) depicts two distinct roofed structures here, forming an L-shape on the southern side of the township road. The structures are part of Tarskavaig township (see NG50NE0056). A small rectilinear enclosure, extending towards the road is shown on the second edition OS map (of c 1900). Current OS mapping shows a rectilinear multi-celled building with an extension to the SW and a smaller structure to the east.
A planning application (SL-01-280) to demolish the buildings to make way for a new house required the provision of a Photographic Record. A number of photographs were taken of the structures and the general area prior to the start of the development. The photographs were taken by K Scott & A Yodice and are held in Assoc. Docs.
