Full Description

The remains of the structure is situated parallel to the shore, 8m by 5m and oped-ended to the north. Situated between the edge of the shingle on one side and a grassy road and stone wall on the other. Walls of stone 0.6m thick, covered with earth and enhanced on both sides giving the impression that structure is built into the ground.

An 'Old Limekiln' is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st Edition Map. <1>

Rectangular grass covered structure running NE-SW. NE wall not visible. Upstanding walls no higher than 1 m and c 0.5 m wide. Length NE-SW is c. 8 m by 4 m. No sign of bonding. <2>
