Full Description
NH53NW 14 5000 3550.
At NH 5000 3550, set into an E-facing slope, is an oval stone-walled hut measuring c. 9.5m NE-SW by c. 8.5m between the centres of a wall spread to c. 2.5m all round. The simple entrance, in the NE, is ill-defined.
A few terraces in the vicinity of the hut are possibly associated cultivation plots, and a few stone clearance heaps and traces of walls on the more level ground to the W are probably contemporary.(Visible on RAF air photograph CPE/Scot/UK 296: 3227-8)
'A' is a natural vegetation mark.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
