Full Description

Duisky school and school house, designed by Alexander Ross in 1879, were recorded by NMRS but the exact location (NN0075 7726) was described as “uncertain”.

The former school and house have now been identified at NN 0224 7695, on the S side of the A861 road, facing Loch Eil to the W of Allt Leacaich. Thought by the present owner to have been built in 1882, the school occupied the E end of the building, the whole of which has now been converted to a dwelling. A second storey with dormer windows was added by the present proprietor.
