190920 841714 North of Kirkton 2 PS002: The hut circle was visited by A Welti and P Swan in 2009 as part of research for a dissertation on hut circles in Wester Ross. This was part of a degree course overseen by Aberdeen University. The circular HC sits on a platform in a gently sloping landscape. The structure is mostly submerged by moss grass and bracken. Average internal diameter is 8.8m, external diameter 14.50m. Double skinned wall thickness is 3m, max wall height is 0.6m. This HC may be associated with PS003, North of Kirkton 1, which is sited 100m upslope (see MHG57755). <3> <4>
