Full Description
"Fuaran a' Chladaich (Well on the beach) is on the shore at Bunchrew, three miles west of Inverness, covered by sea water when the tide is in but still bubbling up strongly enough to enable cattle to drink… In the early part of that [nineteenth] century when cholera broke out this and other sea wells…were much visited in the hope that the use of the waters would keep away the scourge."
