31 May 1979. This wreck was located on 16 May 1979 at 58 36 43N, 002 47 40W, or decca [n scot] red b 21.0, green b 37.65, purple f 59.8. Radar ranges: Duncansby Head 7.3m; Old Head 8.3m; Pentland Skerries 5.9m [radar error 100yds]. The site was examined by sonar and shown to be lying on an orinetation of 000/180 degrees. Its length is 300 feet (91 metres) approximately. The site was not found by echosounder. The general depth is 69.4 metres.

14 January 1985. The site was not found during basic sounding and main line sonar search. A detailed examination was not carried out. The position given is on the edge of an area of sand ridges. The general depth in the vicinity is now 65 metres.
