Full Description

A walkover survey of an area to the northwest of Kingussie was carried out by RCAHMS in 1995 as part of their Afforestable Land Survey project.
This hut-circle, which is levelled into a terrace to the E of the Allt Gortan, measures 6.1m in diameter within a stony bank spread to 2m in thickness and 0.3m in height. The entrance is on the SSE and the eastern arc of the bank been reduced. At least ten small cairns, measuring up to 4m in diameter and 0.3m in height, are scattered across the ridge to the SW and W of the hut-circle. A further six small cairns are situated on the N side of the plantation within the deer fence along the leading edge of the terrace (NH 726 017).
