Full Description
A walkover survey of an area to the northwest of Kingussie was carried out by RCAHMS in 1995 as part of their Afforestable Land Survey project.
This burnt mound is situated on the W bank of the Allt Gortan at the SE end of a deeply-incised gully. C-shaped on plan, the mound measures 8m from ENE to WSW by 5.4m transversely and 0.8m in height, opening out on the NNW. There is an exposure of cracked stones, dark soil and fragments of charcoal in the NW side of the mound.
