The footings of two buildings lie at right angles to each other on the ENE side of a yard to the SW of Strone Cottage. The N building (KING95 438) measures 10.1m by 3.9m within footings 0.65m in thickness and 0.5m in height. There is a grate in a fireplace in the NE end. The second building (KING95 439) measures 17m by 3,6m internally and has been divided into two compartments. The SW compartment has been a byre with a drain emptying out of the door in the NE side. The second compartment has opposed entrances. The entrance in the SW side leads into the yard which contains at least five stack stands measuring up to 3.5m in diameter and 0.2m in height.
Both buildings are depicted as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1872, sheet ci), together with further buildings to the W, which were in various stages of dereliction on the date of visit.
