The military road continues on the shortest route to Fort George.

NH 8984 4455 to NH 8928 4499 modern road on line of military road.
NH 8973 4463 Wade-style military bridge. Single span, 4.1m wide in centre (NH84SE 20).

From NH 8999 4447 to NH 8985 4458 a short stretch of track is visible passing through the conifer plantation beside the modern road. Thereafter the military road lies under tarmac.
