Full Description
Only the springings survive from this now destroyed military bridge over the Allt Phocaichain Burn.
Visited by OS June 1964 and April 1979.
In 2009 Forestry Commission Scotland commissioned C Shepherd to undertake a survey and assessment of those parts of the 18th century Military Road network crossing the National Forest Estate in Inverness, Ross & Skye, Lochaber and North Highland Forest Districts.
During the survey of Inchnacardoch forest, this bridge was recorded and photographed. Only the springings survived of what must have been a very impressive bridge. The approach roads were covered by dense heather and moss and were likely to have survived well. <1>
