This field clearance is from cultivation associated with depopulated at Achnagroug (See NH63NE 25) and with a depopulated steading at NH 6814 3645.

6815 3645: What may be a farmstead comprising three small unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875, sheet xx). Two unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).

NH 690 380 During January 1996, GUARD undertook a field survey at Drummossie Muir, near Inverness, in advance of proposed developments by the Pig Improvement Company Ltd.
Approximately 40% of the area designated was found to be inaccessible due to forestry or tree-fall. These areas were subsequently checked on aerial photographs at RCAHMS.
S6 NH 6814 3655 Sub-rectangular stone structure, with connecting linear stone feature. Within NMRS NH 63 NE 27.
S7 NH 6835 3647 Field dyke remains.
S8 NH 6830 3650 ?Structure remains.
