Full Description
NH63NE 41 691 374.
Centred at NH 691 374 on a SW-facing slope are two stone-walled huts (A and B) and an associated field system.
Hut 'A' is circular measuring c. 8.5m between the centres of a wall spread to c. 2.5m. The simple entrance is in the SSE.
Hut 'B' is oval measuring c. 18.0m NNW-SSE by c. 15.0m transversely between the centres of a denuded wall of indeterminate width. Three boulders, one displaced, occur around the E arc. The simple entrance is in the SSE.
The field system is marked by stone clearance heaps lynchets and occasional field walls, defining plots varying between 10.0m by 12.0m and 30.0m by 15.0m.
More than half of it in the NE has recently been ploughed by the Forestry Commission.
