NM55NE 20 from 5974 5728 to 5950 5738
Four possible charcoal burning platforms, and three small areas of rig cultivation were noted, on the steep SSW-facing slope of Drumbuidhe above an unnamed burn, during a pre-afforestation survey of the NE part of the Drimnin estate.
The platforms are dispersed across the hillside at NM 5974 5728 (NMRS MS 1012/1, no.76), NM 5959 5735 (NMRS MS 1012/1, no.79), NM 5960 5733 (NMRS MS 1012/1, no.80) and NM 5950 5738 (NMRS MS 1012/1, no.85). They range from 7.5m to 9.3m in diameter and each is fronted by a stone revetment. There are small patches of rig (NMRS MS 1012/1, nos.75 to 76, 79 and 84) in the vicinity of each platform.
J G Robertson December 1997; NMRS MS 1012/1, nos.76, 78 to 80 and 84 to 85
