A building, dyke and enclosure, situated at the base of a steep rocky escarpment on a gentle NW-facing slope, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey of the NE part of the Drimnin estate. Subrectangular with rounded angles, the building measures 7.1m from N to S by 4.6m. The walls are composed of large irregular blocks and stand up to 1.5m in height where best preserved on the NW. The walls have a distinct batter which is particularly visible at the corners and taper from 0.85m at the base to 0.6m at the top. The entrance is centrally placed on the S. An outshot, measuring 3.2m by 2.8m, abuts the N gable.
A dyke extends W from NM 5948 5761, about 28m to the SW of the building, to the burn at NM 5932 5758. It can be traced for 174m, is 0.8m wide and ranges in height from 0.3m to 1.1m. The bank probably forms the S boundary of the lands relating to the building. To the N of the bank, at NM 5940 5760, there is a subrectangular level, cleared area defined on the NE and SW by outcrops and on the SE by a turf-covered bank.
