Full Description
A township comprising eight roofed buildings, one unroofed structure, and four enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Elginshire 1874, sheet xxxiii). Five roofed buildings and one enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).

The remaining standing steading at Wester Rynaballoch (or Rynabeallich) was subject to a photographic survey as a condition of a planning application in 2008. <1>
One of the ruinous structures, to the north of the township, variously referred to as a cottage or bothy, was subject to a photographic survey in 2009, to comply with a condition on planning permission for its demolition. <2>
